Multimedia

Videos!

As with Pinterest, YouTube is another of my time-suckers. On a smaller scale, mind you.

I give you: Convos With My 2-Year-Old, a hilarious video series in which a man recreates actual conversations that he's had with his two-year-old daughter. The kicker? The role of the toddler is played by grown man. It's amazing. Here is Video 1, from Season 1:

(Don't you love the fact that he's wearing the little hairclip? The attention to detail is perfect.)

Podcasts?

I keep wanting to listen to podcasts. And sometimes I succeed. But most of the time I forget. My favourite one is called An Irishman Abroad by Jarlath Regan. He interviews a bunch of different Irish comedians, actors, etc., about living in and away from Ireland and discusses Irish identity. Don't ask why. I don't exactly have an explanation. I'm not even a little bit Irish.

Honestly, I think I just like the accents.

I liked the different links to library-related podcasts and webinars that were posted on NB23. I really want to watch a few of the Booklist webinars, actually. I'll probably end up listening to Jian Ghomeshi's Canada Reads 2014 podcasts, though. I always find it easier and more pleasant to listen. And now I have another podcast to follow! Sweet!

I'll just leave you with this:

(The first time I watched this I laughed until I cried. And then I watched it again.)

Ahh, Pinterest.

I've wasted many an hour looking at Pinteresting things.

Seriously. It sucks you right in and suddenly you realize, "Oh hey, I haven't moved in two hours". There's SO much stuff there! (Iloveit)

I pin a lot of recipes. Even though I have cookbooks at home, I tend to use Pinterest to find new recipes (even instead of Google!). My Pinterest page contains mainly food-related boards, as well as home decorating ideas, and a few crafty things.

I follow Dukes and Duchesses, a Pinner who has a huge family and does tons of do-it-yourself stuff and cool crafts. She's probably one of my favourites.

Also, this breakfast loaf is amazing. I make it all the time now, thanks to Pinterest. :)

Images. Oh man.

I've found a new way to channel my feelings.

This is how I feel after completing this week's Things:

I even made a Word Cloud using my friend's daughter's blog about eating healthy and living with ADD:

And of course, I've now learned how to express myself when it comes to work-related frustrations:

I can't believe how easy it was to do these! I feel like I've found a new superpower. Success!!
